got my bulbs. Lowe's baby!!! gonna do 2 more 4' light fixtures. so much light but more!!!! did some more silicon work and worked on the door.

sweet! this is going to look awesome when it's done if you leave it semi-dark so it looks all spooky! that's the point of crocodilians, to make them look scary! there are two diamond caimans at a lfs down here that need you! I've held them and they don't try to bite AT ALL! they're $300 each, too expensive for me:irked:...
 
dont like the look of diamonds when they get large. but schnieders look great when they get large. due to the sheer volume of plants that will be in there(eventually) i need it kinda bright.
 
true... they had some smooth front caimans for $250 each, same temper, but they were all sold...:irked:
 
2 more openings for lights cut. even more silicone work. picking up the other lights in a few hours. pics later tonight
 
i would guess he will, for a few reasons:
1) it makes it look better
2) there will be plants, which will probably be planted, as potted plants are impractical with large (clumsy) caimans in the same tank
3) why not?:D
 
yes there will be substrate. not sure what exactly. plants will be in it in custom pots. few vines few tropical small tree like plants. not sure what else. lights are in place. silicone dryin. pics in a few
