it was just a suggestion. also, i believe he has plans for a bigger pond to be installed... plus, if a pond can hold a 6-7 foot caiman, i'm confident it can hold a 3 foot aro. i've seen caimans kept with fish before, as long as the fish are not tiny and the caimans are well fed.

will be fish in the ponds but just goldfish. feeders :)
no aro, they would get eatten, and the caiman will max around 4 ft

4 feet?!? wow, you're getting the tiny kind, ok. i've heard the really small ones are unable to be tamed, even if handled since a small size ... sure you want those around your kid?:screwy:

and how would a 4 foot caiman eat a potentially 4 foot aro? the ones i've seen in captivity are too lazy to go after anything that they can't swallow whole...

I'm pretty sure he's not going to throw his kid into the tank with the caiman, lol.
To the OP, enclosure looks great. Looking forward to more updates!

still, there's cleaning the cage, where will it go when he installs the bigger pond... stuff like that

I'm sure his kid will love it when he gets a little older, if my dad had a caiman I'd be psyched.

Im sure he will love it when he gets older as well. and no he will not be around him. only viewing from the windows. :nilly:

Working on installing the last wall now. well taking a break now. Its a complicated install, has the door in it as well as makin the cut out for the window

pics ASAP!

either way, be careful when handling them, even at 4 feet they can still crush your hand with a bite.
