just realised the i accidently grabbed pine bark. its not pine chips but i got the feeling im gonna have to return them. correct? i know pine chips and shredded pine is bad so im assuming pine bark is too. Was in a rush from all the shopping and it never even clicked. GOD (edited again)

Yah, I'd probably take it back just to be safe. Let someone more knowledgeable chime in though...

yeah i figured id prob have to but ill wait for others.
saw those. also saw a nile/saltie hybrid. omg that is a scary hybrid. im very confident in the filters. like i said im running almost the exact same setup on my wifes tank. Ill watch them but should be very effective. might have to use a smaller airstone, im using quite a large one atm but all in all i think it will be quite effective.
oh and the bark would be very very dilluted. mostly soil and sand and peatmoss. the bark is very dry and obsorbant so less water will be sitting directly on the floor. help portect it more

If the bark is really spread out and mixed in you would PROBABLY be alright but it is best just to be safe and get cypress
No, no. Take pine away. LP, go see vicious fish post in herping mistakes about bad woods spread across proper substrates.
