just get an alligator man. Why all that work to get some second rate thing. Everyone is gonna be like "wow, is that an alligator?" and you're gonna have to tell them "no, i was too scared so i got a caiman, which is smaller".
gator gets larger and is calmer. Caiman are much more aggressive than a gator dude. plus, seriously? i want a 10ft gator in my basement.:screwy:

Doesn't sound half logical to me. Shouldn't you get something that can fit nicely and safely into your living environment?

really? if anything, gators are second rate. They get too big for one person to deal with usually and they eat more than most people could supply. They do stay tame but LP would have to build an enclosure 3x this size to fit a full grown adult that can grow to be almost 20' (worlds largest was just over 19').

Caimans are way better for someone looking to keep crocodilians.

I do. Good discipline tool with the kids.

LOL yeah. "Son, if you don't get an A on this test, you have to spend 5 minutes in with the alligator"

haha, LP, you need to paint a label on the cage and call it time out. then when Osyris is bad, just tell him to go to time out. I bet he wont be bad again...

lol^

the 2 planters are almost ready to put plants in(need some more soil for the one), rest of the enclosure has substrate, 2 plugs have been installed as well. pick up some more soil and some more timers(one for the vent fan and then the lights) and it will be ready! water hopefully should be in it in the next week. then planting will begin then purchasing the caiman.

so as long as i have the cash caiman should be in within a month or so(if i can find one). if i run out of cash it will obviously be a bit longer than that. I hate to push it too far back though, then ill run into christmas shopping and i dont want that. Then i wont be able to afford it for a good while. Ill keep yall updated.

Cant wait bro! seriously excited about this one.
