I built my first indoor pond this year, this year because the tank was getting to small for the fish load, due to work and dollars, i went with wood and liner tank. 8.5 x 4 x 4, it took one weekend. We moved the fish from the outdoor pond, into the indoor pond, and we love it. Having a window would be nice, but not cost effective. I dont know what fish you have, but we have koi and goldfish, which love to eat from our hands. Here are some pics of the fish at the top and the bottom, and friends and family that love coming over to feed them. Being this deep i would not worry about being able to see them from the side. By the way i am going to take this apart and make the room like so many i have seen here. Happy trails.
