I used three of those and a 4x6 to support my 150. I have the 4x6 running across the beams the tank is sitting on and put three of those jacks underneath that.

 They are rated to hold 12,000 lbs.. how old is your house?

You have to use 3?

I have 4 supporting the center beam of my house!

Nice tall tank!

Perfect for angels

Use these..

This is what is used in my home to support my house.

Excellent Would I do like I was planning and use a Ibeam running parallel to the joist and have two of these supporting each Ibeam? I just worry about the joist not supporting the weight across its span. because of where I want it I have to sit it the same direction as the beams run.

Thats why I thought two sets of ibeam on pillars on each side of the beam would hold the tank.

have fun gravel vacuuming that :D

Thinking 4 1300gph power heads on the bottom, any one know if rays can take high current like that?

Sealed up the top lay that puppy on its back! 4ft wide 30" tall would make a better tank.:D

I thought about that the second I saw it was not drilled. I even though that because of how it was placed in the tank it could still be used if it was filtered by a canister. Just was not sure if it would be safe I wouldn't have to buy anything the cut outs from the new top section would easily cover the lids

Sweet looking tank! I love the look of the tall set ups...

I'm not clear what you mean by covering the entire top/closed system, but you definitely want something exposed to the air for gas exchange...

Do you think I can run somthing like this under the joist, and then support this with two of those adjustable support beams?

http://www.homedepot.com/webapp/wcs...talogId=10053&productId=100022783&R=100022783

And then put 6x2 in between the joist on both sides to prevent twisting.

All you need to do is add some 2x6's with the adjustable support beams..

Those orange pallets steps wouldn't be of use to what you're trying to do.
