I think it will and I don't mind them prolonging Negan's demise as long as it is gone about properly.He is a dynamic character and once he's gone that's it.
They seem to be planting the seeds for a new antagonist already.

He should have been gone maybe last season. Another antagonist huh? Don’t follow the comic but I always imagined this group would end and it’ll pick up with another group toward a cure of some kind.

I think that the woman with the jacked up van is going to be their next threat.I don't follow the comics either.

I havent watched for a while but kinda plan on catching up at some point. This thing with Neegan is just so old. Should have just been a one season thing. Its like every episode is the same routine.
