With the original it implied they were too starved and weak to care but that doesnt make sense either. All i know is i complained that they werent using successful tricks so its nice to see them back

I was wondering the same thing. I think she may have gouged their eyes out, because when she starts walking she has to tug on them to get them going.

I believe it was explained early on that when the jaws and arms are cut off, it turns them docile and they just turn into roamers, no longer having the urge to feed. And her dragging them around makes her kind of invisible to the walkers

that's how it was explained from what I remember.

part of why I started disliking the show. it got so successful that they think they can just write anything and people will just keep eating it up. like they got the midas touch

but they really have not done a good job explaining how that works

yea you'd think they'd have at least a dozen of these zombies with the jaws and arms cut off at the prison just chained to the fence or something. and every time someone needs to step outside the prison they just take a couple of them on a leash.

Woodbury, weren't they using jaw less walkers for that gladiator spectacle?
 
I'd have a bunch of zombies attached to something like this carrying me around or on a big platform, king xerxes style. it may be the end of the world but you don't ever have to walk again
