The water change challenge!

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I have a pump that pumps around 2800gph hook it up to the tank and then outside and push it out side. I do 100g then I fill it back up with the same pump. I'm to lazy to figure out the math. 2800gph ÷100g = minutes it takes to empty and fill

I don't think I can accept this as an entry. Due to head loss that pump isn't probably anywhere near 2800gph. Just time yourself next time.

That is with head loss llol. The pump does 3500 @ 0 ft. Line goes to the pump and it sits outside. It bassically. Siphon + a pump Then just shoots out with no line. The filling up their is only about 10 ft so that may take a bit more

Are these bare bottom tanks or something coz it takes me an hour to do 70 gal whilst vacuuming the gravel at the same time. And to refill

I have sand also. I spend about 10 minutes cleaning the top layer of the sand bed. You should switch sand is much easier to clean.

I don't think anyone would want to stress their fish by pumping water in that fast!

They could careless. I have around 2100gph worth of power heads
