As an aside, I have "milked" a few black widows, it is an interesting project that you use a pair of probes and a nine volt battery to accomplish. The venom is quite valuble if you can find a buyer but I just made up a small vial for a collection I used to keep.

Im the same way. Couple days ago I saw a big spider on the wall of my bedroom and I had to go to the living room to sleep.

when i was young i woke up and my ankle was swelled up big time.
found about a 3" wood spider,or something like that,.he bit me while i was sleeping.
didnt sleep in there for days till i killed it.
i would go in with a weapon and the thing would jump at me!

the one black i seen was many years ago.
all ive seen here are the browns.

I have these spiders in my house now that I was told are giant house spiders, that will let me pick them up and handle them and they dont even bite me. I kept one as a pet and any bug I threw in the jar he would grab instantly and eat. It lived for like 8 months in the jar before I let him go. I was also they prey on hobo spiders so I know longer kill them when I see them.
