Ok I love my true wolf (tiger-tetra). However, it really pisses me off that i never get to see it eat, she usually picks off the gold when the lights are all off...

1. How do i get her to eat infront of me?
2. How do i get her to respond to eating at a certain time?

ps: i hate starving my fish, so that might not be in the cards..

Try dimming the lights, or using only the room lights. That is what I had to do to get my single RBP to eat in front of me. Even then it could take a while.

Only make food available when you want them to eat.

All of my wolves (when hungry) come up to the top of the tank and wait for food to enter the water. They eat it immediately. My largest one seems to recognize the feed bucket (square and red) inparticular.

You can also get yourself a few LED lights for your tank. Before we had to build our covers to include those, but last week I saw one at the lfs with a succion cup and a plug...perfect if you don't want to redesign your cover lights.

You have blue or red, they both lets you see the fish feed in darkness...makes a nice glow in the tank when all other room lights are off...cheap too imo.

at first my wolves only would eat live. so i stopped feeding live i fed them stuff like shrimp tilapia pellets. eventually they came around. they eat everything now shrimp, tilapia, shrimp pellets, cichlid gold, krill, beefheart, mealworms, and occasional feeders.

put a wolf in their and watch what happens.
