XINGU nomenclature I, II, and III just bother me.

I think people who name them just ran out of time, effort, and probably research money to classify them. From what I can see I, II, and III adults morphs are different as pictures shown.
Brian Scott's Xingu ( fish in RED circle) is (IMO and his) definitely Xingu III and juvi's showing adult vertical pattern which not present in I, and II.
The recent xingu import ( fish in GREEN circle ) as shown is different than Brian's and yours. Right???
yours (in ORANGE circle) is showing tons of dots above horizontal line and faint vertical bars now, right?? similar to Xingu II ?? Again... just IMO.
( ps: can still turn out to be XINGU I as was sold to you. )
How funny is Xingu II picture I took from was originally listed as Cichla sp.mirianae (fogo) prior 12/2006 New Cichla species article published. Xingu are from lower rio Xingu drainage, and Fogo can be found in upper ( upstream) rio xingu. The intense orange-red color of XINGU II had those expeditioners fooled thinking they found fogo...

I think at some area, xingu and fogo may co exist or even hybrid.
I just thought yours maybe be the variant with coloration closest to fogo.
I am just excited to see there are 3 different XINGU varaints at MFK's, and I can't wait to see how they turn out to be like. Note again... these juvi are about exactly the same size, so the pattern variation can NOT be the stage of growth.
XINGU are rare. PERIOD. The preference of I, II, and III is in eye of the beholder.
