Had to be very careful to only get paint on the panes of glass and not on the trim, but a little careful planning went a long way.
I applied two coats of the red, then covered that with black paint (all spray paints) and after that I used black electric tape to protect that from chips.
There was probably a much better way to protect it and would've been less tedious, but the tape worked out great.
why did you decide to paint instead of using aquarium background? I know a place that sell background that color you painted. BTW, your tank looks a lot nicer than my uncle goldfish tank back in the days. I never thought a goldfish tank could look this nice. When he had his goldfish tank back in the days there was no theme. He had "No Fish" sign then a the scuba diver floating up and down, a windmill house powered by air bubbles, and fake plastic plants.
