TheMaskedShadow...HERO!

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
With my recently acquired skillset, lol, may I offer something to whet the appetite in regards to your pond build The Masked Shadow The Masked Shadow .

Look at what you can achieve with a bit of get up and go. Only problem is, I think your get up and go has got up and gone, lol.

No cause for concern...as long as you don't start a thread on MFK trumpeting "IT'S HAPPENING! IT'S FINALLY HAPPENING!!!!"...and then abandon the idea once you have barely started. :headshake

Guys, I'm all for promoting the hobby but me being a parent and pond guy, I hope the Lad thinks this one out.
In one of the other post from the start, I encouraged to get a bigger tank to learn first. A lot cheaper and resale value is good if one wants out. Learn to keep fish and water quality first. From the gimmick, gadget and plumbing TMS have experimented with, I know a pond will be frustrating.
Algae farming and septic tank pumping is no fun. I like to see my kids happy! Seriously!

Hmmm...must admit that I never considered this. Outdoor ponds have always struck me as simple and pretty much foolproof, but I am about as far from a techie gadget guy as you can get; some of the goofy gadgets Shadow has bought, often without even being sure himself what the heck they are, may be merely inconveniences when they screw up 20 or 50 gallons of water. They would be major disasters if they screw up an entire pond.

As much evil joy as poking him about the pond can provide...and it is plenty!...I guess I will stop...okay, I'll slow way down. :)

But the problem still persists. He hasn't finished creating a pond...but he is knee-deep in screwing up his parents' back yard already. Somebody...sometime...needs to backfill that vaguely weird depression in that yard. And if Shadow couldn't maintain his head of steam with the vision of a pond dancing in his imagination...how the heck will he manage to reverse all that work with no carrot-on-a-stick in front of him?

And? You just got to slip on a shirt, slop on some sunscreen and slap on a hat!
Ogertron3000 Ogertron3000 did they teach you that rhyme back when you were a kid?

I do remember that with the cartoon seagull or whatever it was. Funny that if we ever wore a cap to highschool it would always be confiscated by the teachers instantly.
