I'm very curious but yes I would cull them if they survive.

keep 1 just for the memory, just don't sell it and keep it out of breeding. I'm sure even if you completely hate hybrids that it would be interesting seeing how it turns out.

I'm with X24, but then again, it would just take up tank space. When and where is the project taking place?

I don't hate hybrids. My Son has one and I'm fishsitting 3 right now for two friends. I'm interested on how it would look too but don't have the tank space to dedicate for it.

We still have not decided. I would love to breed them in my fishroom because she just laid eggs so for me I think I'm doing something correct to trigger her + I have the tank space right now for this project. Gary does not like putting stress to his fishes especially the beani because of all the struggles he had raising them so I totally understand where he's coming from not wanting to relocate a very sensitive and rare cichlid.

I too had a bloat scare with my beani after his trip from Rapps facility. If you were closer I would be up to studding him out for pick of the litter. I just can't sell him, and I don't want to deal with the stress of shipping him back and forth. It sucks that you're not closer.

Shut it....... go play with your wolf fish!

Gani.... I need to come see you when those fry hatch (and net some when you're not looking!) Not to breed but just to see what it will look like! :naughty: Then feed it to my fish........

Uh....nice job guys. Just saw this. Where is the istlanum coming from for that other project? I wish you guys best of luck with this beani project. All it takes is a good breeding pair to push us over this beaniless stretch, for a while at least. You guys have some nice-looking beanis and if it does turn out to be a pair I'm sure the progeny will be nice.

I think its the fact that your garage is an oven Gani! :D Last time I was there it looked like I took a shower with my clothes on.

That's besides the point. I really like her breeding dress, especially around her eyes, looks like she is wearing a mask. Once again, gorgeous fish man!

This female did not eat pellets for a month after I got it from Gary. She survived by eating scales so I hear you bro.

Ewok knows the detail with regards to the Istlanum male. He was the one who found the owner.

Thanks.

Lol, it was only 86 degrees inside :D. I'm sure the temperature was one of the factors that triggered her to breed. Plus what female fish could resist a 14" male horny Umbee :D

Man I leave for the weekend and some of the biggest news of the year goes down! Woohoo Gani and Gary! Get somth'n going here and spread this fish around the hobby like it deserves!
