I would say unless you have tannin tainted water or an algae bloom tanks tend to be “clear” all the time.

Lol- those people who like to pee in other peoples cornflakes for fun on social media, trolls- does not matter if you are correct and he is wrong or he is correct and you are wrong. Its this type of negativity in the world that humanity can do away with. Those people who like to tear others down and humiliate them- we can do away with that trait in humans. We are here on this earth to be each other’s teachers, to guide each other to being a better human being. Those type of people- bad juju. Not worth your time. We are always learning something new everyday. What is correct today may be incorrect tomorrow. Lets just stay with the light and continue to be kind to one another. The best educators/professionals out there are the ones that is able to be a true ambassador and not judge others but continue to work on improving the hobby wherever they go. Egos need to be kept to the minimum for the hobby’s sake. I never have heard a bad thing from legends like Takishi Amano (RIP) making fun of a newbie, or Oliver Knott. We do have comedians in this hobby too. Can’t forget those kind humorous people either lol- Lets stop tearing each other down when we are faced with the possibility of being the last keepers with this unstable world climate changes we are facing. Time for us to start building each other up and being a better keeper With tips/tricks we learn the best when we are being treated with respect and kindness not being so defensive etc. Cheers

You're on you tube for crying out loud, a platform where negative comments from keyboard warriors can proliferate. You need to have an extremely thick skin to have a you tube channel. If you're going to cry your eyes out everytime someone says something you don't like, then close your channel down!

Do you keep on top of maintaining your aquariums, what with your super busy you tube channel? I mean you seem to be posting videos extremely regular, with all sorts of content. Your videos must take a while to prepare. In my eyes you're leaving yourself wide open to criticism.

I read your opening post. It has a lot of negative vibes. Please don't hate old people for example. We all hopefully get old. It should not be a negative insult.
If you receive a critical message then try to see what what they mean and address it. If they are trolling then it is best to ignore them.

I agree 1000 percent with you. Most people forget that the aquarium hobby is a hobby after all and many people are going to enjoy it differently. Every month I host a question and answer and I get the same question almost every month and it's always why do I keep large growing fish that get too big instead of the little community fish? I always tell people because it's a hobby and those are the fish I like. It gets redudant lol.
There are lots and lots of excellent aquarium hobbyists out there. I have met a lot of them from on here and elsewhere. I just have to learn to deal with the negative people.
I was doing water changes once or twice a week. But now that they are all moved into a bigger tank with better filteration I still do 2 or 3 water changes a week if I find time. It does take a lot of time and work posting videos. But since a majority of my videos are live streams I don't do any post production edits or anything so if I swear or do anything that ideally would get cut out of a video if it was uploaded it stays. The only videos of mine that are heavily edited or over produced are specials like my 8 year YouTube anniversary that's coming up.
I should be used to the negative comments. I have gotten many over the years. I will grow thick skin and just delete any comments I deem to be degortory.
I know it seems harsh. I don't hate older folks it's just that sometimes the way they speak to the younger folks is horrible. I used to work at Texas Roadhouse and some of these elderly people felt so entitled. I used to have to come to the teenagers aid. They would call on me because I would tell it like it is. Many of times I had to tell these people look if you are going to disrespect us we don't have to seat or serve you and you can either go home and cook or go some place else. Most of the times they calmed down but a few stormed off. There are some awesome eldery who give out wisdom. I seem to meet the miserable though... not sure if it's only in South Florida lol.
