These Kinds Of Fish Keeper's Ruin The Aquarium Hobby,

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I’d be up for that sometime. I don’t have a web cam I’d have to do it all on my phone. No problem at all. If I’m ever down in Florida we will meet up.
Awesome sounds great to me. I'll show you some of the best fish stores where I live and then we can have cheesecake across the street at cheesecake factory lol.
Your phone works fine as a matter of fact I like filming on my phone better but can't for live streams since I don't have a tripod yet.

It depends on who has been digging for scraps in the gravel.

You cannot judge a system from a photo.
those monos are stunning... :)
yea I have people who watch my videos and call me a fish/animal abuser. People don't know what the term ''abuse'' means. Abuse is being starved of food. Abuse is being kept in a space so small they can not physically turn around. Abuse is NOT a little cloudy water or being in a 75 gallon.
Those people who leave remarks like that get reported to YouTube and if you file enough reports their entire account gets deleted and they won't be able to log in haha. so we'll see who the abuser is.

I personally feel water clarity is a bench mark for water quality. IMHO
I can see that. But sometimes water not being clear isn't a bad thing.

Do you make any money off youtube? I’ve thought about making a channel myself but it would really just be for the cash.

I haven't yet but hopefully soon. It's hard making money but it takes a while.
I have made money on audio podcasts though but youtube way more fun.

Clear water isn't necessarily healthy water...and healthy water isn't necessarily clear...but I agree that if you are going to put an aquarium on display, on YouTube or elsewhere, it should be both clean and clear. You don't go to a wedding unshaven and sweaty; why show off your aquarium that way?

True, water that isn't clear isn't necessarily a bad thing...but it certainly has no benefits. Just a personal quirk of mine, but I want my water clear and clean, and if I am showing off my tank...especially to non-aquarists...I want it looking good. Not even just good, but great. I'm not a big fan of any aquarium YouTubers and don't really go out of my way to follow any of them, but I guarantee that if one of them shows me a cloudy, murky tank...excuses or not...that's it for me, won't be back. Again, just a personal quirk; I don't bat an eye at algae-covered rocks and wood, but lots of people gag at the sight of it. To each his own.

Way to many aquarium YouTubers are not on the internet because they love fish...but rather because they love being on the internet and fish are a good excuse to be there.

esoxlucius esoxlucius had it right: if you can't stand the heat, gotta stay out of the kitchen.

I agree with you. But there were reasons my tank was that way. Nonetheless it isn't anymore.
I can handle critcism both postivie and negative. I have learned to just ban those who are looking for attention. because they want to get me riled up but don't have the guts to start their own channel.
