I'd question the veracity of these. The first image, for example, is definitely not from Sochi, I read about it being debunked on Gawker.

Many of the viral images attributed to Sochi recently are actually just older pictures from the world or Eastern Europe (some of the dead dog ones are from the Ukraine).

I'm sure it's a bit janky there but it's not nearly as bad as the internet has been making it out to be.
