Maybe cuz the course sucked? They should've moved it to the last snowboarding event instead of the first and there'd have been less drop outs
 
I will be the first to admit I know less than nothing about either skiing or snowboarding. We did have a driving range we would go to with cardboard boxes when snow fell. they should try that as an Olympic event loads of fun. Doesn't even require any special gear. Plastic garbidge can lids were high tech!

What do you think sports is then? It's not about the moving of the ball, or the sweeping of the ice, but the dedication and devotion behind it. The point isn't that you carried a piece of rubber down the ice and put it in a net, but the training and hard work required to get there. Btw, hockey is an awesome sport just saying, canada for the finals for sure, you can't deny it...

What makes it a scandal????

In the summer Olympics last go around, nikes mantra with the US athletes was to black out the podium. In other word, take all 3 medals. Scandal?!?!!
