They call it a common ray

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
That is and apple ray and very hard to take care of. They ussually only accept live food.

That is a cheap price though. If you were going to give a shot at keeping one, that is the price you would want to spend.

WTF?! Aquascape needs to pull their head out..

This is NOT a beginner ray, and they get HUGE. They are part of the small-eyed ray family, and have a hard time accepting foods..

I didn't know beginner ray-keepers had tanks that were 96x48, MINIMUM..?

I was looking at the rest of the stingray list and it appears that picture is also used under the ceja ray. They probably put up the wrong photo or they don't know what they're doing. For the price and size listed I'm guessing they're really selling humerosa or reticulata or orbignyi, but without the correct picture, who knows?

for the common ray it also says pics coming soon so i think thats just an example pic and not a pic of the actual ray...

could be any one of the teacup group of rays, which is sad that they are offered at such a low price, they almost always have parasites and are starving when you get them, making it so you have to get them feeding soon. in addition, they are very very hard to care for

people just think, that since theyre small, you can get a smaller tank, and that makes em even cheaper

Teacup ray' is such a misleading discription. Seeing it refers to the size of the ray at this particular time not to what they will go to.

Ive heard histrix called common rays. I doubt they are histrixs though. Sure would be nice for the price if they were! Ive also seen Humerosa and Orbs labeled as histrix as well...Who knows.

Ive dealt with Pedro before and he is a good guy and I wouldnt hesitate doing buisness with them again.
