They do look cool in a big school. My uncle also has a small water fall thing and they will actually migrate and swim up the water fall into the tub where the water comes out.

Those are pretty underated. My uncle has about 500 of those in his 9000gl koi pond outside and they last all winter. Then in the summer they breed like every three weeks and he ends up with tons of them. He has some that are like 5in to 6in long. When he want's to lower the population which is like once a week I get free healthy feeders. :D

They last all winter in his Pond?? How cold does it get?

They can take some pretty cold water.

yeah, but don't do good in tropical tankz....blast it all. Each time I get feeders and put them into my tankz they only last a few minutes and then die. No matter how long I acclimate them. most of my tankz are 82 degrees at least though...

Yeah, I keep rosey reds/fathead minnows in my outdoor pond year-round. They breed and breed. :)

They can take really cold temp. Here in Michigan my uncles pond frezzes on top in the winter so they can take pretty cold water. They just go dormant with the koi and goldfish.
