Congrats on sp. Assam breeding, was my first channa breeding, too.

Mother feeds feeder eggs, you can additionally feed small fresch hatchesd artemia, or small frozen food like tiny black bosmides, cyclops or small black mosquito larvae

the first batch of fry starved due to my absence (work issues abroad) .
The early absence of the fry lead to a fight betwenn mom and dad (some injuries and ripped fins)

and to a new batch of fry. Try to get the fish nanny back in work ;-)
 
How old is your good old legendary breeding female Brucki?

Never too easy for me as well when I work in London 12 months and get to see my Channa back in India twice a year, they make and break families till then, LOL

I have them since 2008, maybe they are one or two years older.
