Reminds me when some A-hole told my GF that a tiny Clown loach would be fine in her already over crowded oscar tank!! needless to say that clown loach is with me now, but with most of his tail missing!!

man, sorry to hear about that. there was a thread in the knifefish forum about whether bgks could grow their tails back, i forget the verdict but you could try looking that thread up. i have a gourami that got her fins bit up pretty badly not they/re healed to the point that you would never know they got bit up. good luck!

If you judge a book by it's cover, it's literary contents may be found to be disappointing. But that is something you, will have to examine, think about and then make the final decission.

Regardless if she's "hot" or not, as a young adult, she should be held accountable for her actions for damaging your fish.

If your rolls were reversed and she owned the tank and you bought the puffer, she'd be complaining so much about the damage done, moreso than if she was in the middle of an ovulation cycle. You'd never hear the end of it. This incident would constantly be thrown in your face, whenever the two of you had a disagreement.

If she was my room mate and didn't want to take responsibility for her actions and compensate you financially for damages done to your eel and bgk, I'd seriously be looking for another room mate. Would not matter if she was a close highschool friend or not. She'd be dropped like a bad habbit.

i had a bgk once bought it with a messed up tail. it grew back mostly until i lost him to ich. yours should be fine not sure about the fire eel never had one of those

She offered to purchase replacements but I declined. I have no room for two more, and just because the puffer had a little snack, it does not make me love the things any less. She agreed to pay half of my next fish order. Since it's going to be about a hundred dollars, I figure its a fair agreement. I just bought her a 30 dollar betta too. At least she feels guilty. I still don't get why she wouldn't research the fish first. The again we both are a bit impulsive with new fish. Or at least use a ten gallon for quarantine. By the way, the ovulation cycle comment made me feel a lot better.
