Well HybridFinatic you sir are correct. I have been out of the hybrid game aka Flowerhorns for the last 4 years. I totally forgot about how many Thailand Green Texas are just unfaded red Texas. In the last 24 hours many of the babies have been turning red. Crazy correct my friend. Look at all this red undertones on these 1.5-2.0 inch babies…

Yup lol. It’s just becoming more and more prevalent. It’s the same thing with many being imported as “Escondido” from Thailand. Enjoy them man. Glad we were able to figure it out.

Some updates at 2.0-3.0 inches. The red variants are very aggressive and killed many of their regular colored siblings. Brutal cannibalism no matter how many times I fed them each day. The red ones would go on patrols in the 90 gallon space to find and nip at the regular colored Carpintis. But their body color along with the blue and gold pearls is really cool. I set up a few new tanks to raise a few up.
