NIce! I was thinking about doing this on a bigger tank. It eliminates having to make an overflow box.
 
My 300 uses the same design. the only tricky part is getting the water level right. If you used 2 quick disconects placed correctly you could make the water level adjustable. I was going to try it but my hardware store didn't have enough disconnects
