Two new bichirs arrived today. These are from Toyin.

Here they are acclimating in buckets.

Bichir #2

No the buckets are not pink. They are a dark burgundy red. The 5g bucket is 11 1/4" across so you can see these are nicely sized.

More pics to come as they settle in.

You guys know what they are, right? No? Well then, you will just have to check back in, lol

I know what up with the updates, they have been in the house for like a whole 30 minutes and that is the lame pics you guys get, lol

Hahaha you have pink buckets you have pink buckets !

Congrats man cant wait to see more pics !

In the 75g QT now. They are really stressed as you can see.

A little cloudy eyed and a couple finlets damaged but gave me a smile

Bichir #2
Very sleek compared to bichir #1 which is built like a tank... hey that might just be a good name

What exactly are they?

We also need to know where they're caught, weather temperature that day, and the fishermans' name who caught them :)

It was a warm 82 degree African day when our fisherman Akeem went about in search of the elusive poly fish. He would earn a nickel for each fish he caught while in the United States wierdos would pay hundreds of dollars for these ugly fish....

So I went with a Sp. Koliba lap and a Dabola endli (Tinkisso river) from Toyin
I was inspired to get the endli because of my buddy jaws who turned me from an endli hater to an endli owner. Lol, I really have always liked the lap better. But now in person the endli is just an awesome beast of a fish. Might just be my new favorite. Having learned my lesson last time with a koliba that jumped out a sealed 75g, I have the water level lowered and weighted tops. If I loose one this time it jut was not meant to be.

We also need akeems mothers maiden name and his fathers shoe size.

Can wait to see them settle in man
