Thickness is no joke, he eats claws and all. ---------I also think they tolerate smaller fish better than fish that are larger than them. I put mine in a tank with a 10'' pleco and the pleco got a large chunk taken out of its tail with in minutes, from a 3'' fahaka. lol But i have had the fahaka for a month now and the 6 guppies are all still there and even a few fry.-----------------------------------------Also what is your substrate called and where did you find it. I have been looking for a large black rock for substrate and all i have found is something called beach rock and its a dollar a pound. ouch

You think the knives intimidated the puffer?

Yes. They were fine at first, but then it seemed one of the knives would charge the puffer whenever it turned its back. The puffer then became very defensive. After the puffer began to give chase it was pretty obvious thier stay would be shortlived.

That video was sweet. I love how Thickness waited for the crawdad to leave the corner patiently, then BAM!

That puffer is no stranger to being bit by crays...... It happened a lot more often the younger it was. Its gotten pretty smart over the years.

That is so true, i am not sure whether they just can't be bothered to chase (as a plec is slow and easy to get) after all why run for your dinner if you know your mums going to put it infront of you:ROFL:
