It might help. If authorities would use the evidence and do something. I definitely would get some big spot lights with motion detectors also.

It’s sad but most of the time these kinds of cases don’t get the same attention from law enforcement as if they broke in and stole things from the home.
It’s the same as someone reaching over the fence to steal a dog. The cops do not put as much effort into it.
It should be based on the crime not what was stolen.

If you leave things unprotected, the cops see that and figure they shouldn't care much if you didn't.
Of course people care, but they don't always envision the risks.

I never keep expensive koi, but it is still always a fear that someone will see big fish and take them. People can be so horrible
