are thin bars dats hard to raise i have an indo but someone told me thin bars are tricky and die easy

very tricky they seem to die incredibly easy compared to other dats

I have 3. I got them all small. One i've had over a year, no problems. The other 2 about 8 months no problems. 1 get the **** kicked out of it by the other 2, and is the main target for my RTG. It's tough. I really don't do anything other than change water every week.
I don't see what the so called problems with NTTs are.

I read a lot about gill fluks in small NTTs on here so i think the problems people have with them are problems even before they get them home. The guy i buy my NTTs of always has them in a medicated tank. You do need to remember they are all wild caught and put together in big tanks before being shipped.

IMHO if you want an NTT you should has a seperate tank so you can give it treatment for anything it might have as soon as you get it home and before you put it in your main tank.

My NTTs are all strong.

have a 6-7" thin bar. i find them similar to the ITs. the NTT is more stable though than the ITs.

Hi,

yes, I also found some NTT is more statble then some Indo Tiger. However, I got a Indo Tiger which never get unstable I means the color never change. It is as nice as a ST But i got a few Indo tigers always got unstable.
I hate them when it turn black -- really black.

Nevertheless, for indo tiger the color always got change specially if them mix with some stable fishes then it will turn out to be stable as well.
Thanks.

cheers,
Loh

I'd say the ntt is the second or third hardest to get to survive, AT's and ngt's being harder.. I would absolutely give it a try but don't get your hopes up.. this is just my personal opinion but these are the spiecies you seldom see as adults..

^Nailed it.

:werd:^ with CC.
I had 8 NTT's when I started this tiger obsession and unfortunately lost 5 only have 3 that survived. My parameters were all good but sds/flukes got the better half of my poor babies.

Please watch their breathing before you purchase these fish. Observe them to see if they gills are swallon(im sure there is a better discription) and them breathing hard. I did not know this atm I was just happy to see them available so I bought the whole shipment.

By far my favorite tigers. Yes I love these more then ST's cause I dont own any ST's .
Maybe its just the luck of the draw but my 3 NTT's are stable more then my IT anyday.:screwy:
