I have 2 NTT about 5 inches I have not had a problem yet (knock on wood)..I have 9 dats (4 indo, 3 at, 2 Ntt) and the NTT are BY FAR the shyest and less stable then my others.. Im surprised someone said the ATS are hard to raise my 3 are pigs and seem like they would be indestructible...

k i going to give them a try the ones im getting are 4 inches and the vendor im buying from is very reputable thanks everyone for the input

do you think $35 for 4 inch thin bars are expensive
I'd buy it.The only ones that I've seen recently were half that size and twice the price.

i agree - i have 4 NTT and one IT - my IT is stable 90% of the time and is the boss of the tank - they are all equal in size. my NTT only become stable at feeding time

i got lucky today and picked up a thinbar that was accidently mixed with indo dats. should the price be comparable? i only ask because i paid the same for both species.

we'll see how it goes for me, but my new x1 NTT is hardly shy at this point. he and an IT move about most of the day not hiding much...this as well for the little 2" indo i have. the real shy one is a slightly smaller IT, 3"-4"
