And let me know what the status on other dats are.... I think it is like this, please correct me if i am wrong

Wide bars - no exporting
indos - limited exporting
ng - no exporting
silver - no restriction
thin bar - was no restriction but now??????

DO I have that right?
The only export prohibition that I'm aware of is Thailand's export prohibition on widebars (Datnioides pulcher). Thai widebars are from the Chao Phraya River. To my knowledge there is no export prohibition onwidebars from other countries, such as Mekong River widebars from Vietnam and Cambodia. I've heard that water quality problems in the Mekong River basin are responsible for the lack of Mekong widebars.

thanks icthy... I thought I read somewhere that NG deff are restricted, but you would know better then me.

T1KARMANN - I actually made a post asking to see large thin bars on this forum and noone could produce a picture. Is this really because there less hardy then other dats? I always assumed that you dont see them because
1 - there not as popular as wide bars and indos
and
2 - they natural max size is smaller then other dats (and the likelyhood that ANY fish reaches its MAX size is not good) So the common thin bar will stop around 1 foot.

I could be wrong

I was wondering because I have been selling off a bunch of my thin bars lately and have someone wanting to pick up 3 4"ers nd a 7" next week. Might have o hold on to them.

sinister - assuming that this is all just a rumor, how much do you sell the thin bars for? I will be looking to buy atleast on possibly 2 in the coming months, you can PM me if you do not feel like listing prices.
