went n of jamestown for 4 days there was 70 trucks on one lake. thats smaller than 500 acers. 17 spendy ice houses. 12- 14" of ice caught some 12" perch ate fresh fish sat night for supper. mmmm fish not only good to wach but tasty eating too
one thing about early ice is, it is natures way of thinning the herd. there was trucks on parts of white bear that only have 5". that 5" consisted of 2" of cloudy crap ice. then when "natural selection" takes place, the rest of us have to deal with problimatic ice for the season. they for some reason think the shore ice at the launch is thicker then the other shore ice they walk to off an island. then they park side by side only amplifing the stupidity. after that we people with common sense are inconvenced with a big hole and no safe way onto a lake.
do us ice fishers a big favor! please leave the stupid at home!
