I loss many thin bars to the symptons you describe. Its not gill flukes. I feel its something else. More on the line of Kidney desease, leading to adominal dropsey. If it was flukes, I could cure it no problem.
Anyway we would be able to prevent this Alex?

Ive been down this road...Ended up being parasite aswell and i think bacteral infection. This took out 3 dats and 4 pbass. Sorry for your loss

really sorry-was it your only NTT?

Alright Berserker...

I still got NTT 2.5inch and also an 8 inch thinbar.

Other tigers in tank is:
6 IT's and 1 NGT

Keeping a very close eye on the others.

Other symtoms for the dead NTT were: very swollen gills. WHen he breathed, you could see the red inflamed tissue behind the gills.

Thanks to everyone who advised on medication etc. fingers crossed no more syymptons should appear.

I've lost 2 NTT's in the past-they got ich and then really bad secondary fungus. My cuurent 4" one I got from Danny at Tropical Imports- a little shy but its coming around. I do feel they're the least hardy of the Tigers
