Things not to say in a fish shop

ive been guilty of the " ive been keeping fish for 20yrs" ... granted when i use it, its generally because the idiot is trying to tell me goldfish can live just fine in a bowl....
 
I've been keeping fish for 20 years is very very commonly used! I could probably say it and the people would believe me! I'm only 14 so its not possible for 20 years. But, people try to show off their "advanced experience" and half the time their is no "advanced experience." No point in people saying this time after time again and no one giving a single crap about it.

I've seen kids who were at most 16/17 tell me something similar while i've been at the LFS...

Needless to say i just looked at them and said, "i didnt know you could keep a fishtank in your mothers womb" which shut them up real fast...
