Working in a chain pet store has some advantages/disadvantages... Primarily, that everyone treats us like a shelter for their unwanted animals.
My newest friend... I've named him Squeezy:
He's a very beautiful snake and at the very least, his owner was actually a decent person. The other animals I've taken home and that my co-workers have taken home, well, the people are just disgusting. We get a lot of starved, injured, sick, etc animals and the answer is almost always some version of "I didn't know it would need to be fed/cleaned/etc regularly". ...oh well, that'll never change. And on the bright side, awesome snake... can't wait to get a permanent enclosure set up for him.
