...For stocking my 125 that is.
I am going to keep the sand after all, keep it planted, and buckle down and learn how to construct this PVC pipe from my FX5 back to my tank.
I am going to stock it with Discus, various cory cats, a nice school of tetras, and maybe one or two smaller pleco species.
I am going to leave the glass tops off since these fish aren't known to be big jumpers, and so my CFL bulbs will have a little more penetration power. I am going to lower the bulbs in my canopy to get them closer to the water line as well. Also covering the back side of the canopy with a screen to contain any ambitious jumpers.
I am keeping the sand with the FX5 because the stock I'm after won't stir up hardly any. [still debating about the plecos]
I also think I need to build some sort of spray bar for the FX5 to spread out the current or slow it down. Might be a problem for discus.
Any thoughts?
I'm rinsing the sand outside tomorrow to get rid of any dead leftover snails, as well as this weird oily substance the sand brought in.
a beeb a beeb a beeb thats all folks!
