My happy Firemouth duo aren't happy anymore. They spawned at the beginning of this month. I have about 15-20 fry still left. Last week I noticed they were spawning again. The eggs all hatched and got to the wiggler stage, but today they were all gone. I noticed one of the older fry was hanging out in the cave, but neither parent tried to kick it out. I'm not sure if that's what happened or not, but now my female is in hiding. My male keeps flaring at her and I saw him chase her a couple of times. Does this mean they've officially turned on each other? Is it possible they'll "make up"? Ugh... I'm so sad!

It took a couple of days, but they're "happily married" again. The first couple of days the male would flare at the female quite a bit, but eventually he calmed down and she started to come out more often. Now everything's normal again.

I have about 15 left from the first batch, none of the second made it. It looks like they might be gearing up to try again. Yesterday the male was spitting sand out from inside the cave.
