thinking about a L-128 or L-200

Yeah, I agree. $80 for an L128 or L200 is way overpriced. Usually, they run for about 30 to 35 bucks a piece. But from my experience, these guys get pretty big, so for them to be in your 36g tank, they'll outgrow in the long run. If you're interested in some unique plecos, you should look for ones in the Hypancistrus family, ie tiger plecos. The plecos in this family tends to stay small. :) Or you can get some busy nose pleco too.
 
Yep, but since the rams are near the end of their life, (both around 3-3.5 in) do you think a L-200 and ctenopoma could live together in a 36?
 
Also I really hope he gets in some L127s, he said they should be like 39.99.
 
Well for the L128 or the L200, these guys don't tend to eat algae. They would most likely eat your plants in your tank instead. Also, these guys tend to get about 9" to 10" in size. yes they can go into your tank for the time being, but you would have to watch out for your aquarium plants. Regarding the L127s, these guys are nice, but I don't know about that price. Unfortunately since i don't live in your state, so I can't tell you if its a good price to pay or not. I live in So Cal, and these guys go around $10 or so. :irked:
 
I meant 129 in my last post lol, but I am reading that they dont eat algae, but they look sssoooo cool! Will they eat my plants? Also should I feed him/her with carnivore pellets, algae wafers, blood worms, zucchini, and other things like that? Will they eat any of the brown algae? (No the diatom is not from nitarate or bad water its from the window next to my tank lol)
 
Ok talked to my lfs and we were both looking through his pleco book and he said the brown zebras he get are LDA-019s/L-340s, looks like he/she will be ok, any of you have experiance with them?
 
Ok I'm confused. I'm assuming your LFS just has "Brown Zebra Pleco" on his order sheet. And now that he has one in you are trying to id it. L-340 is totally different that the 129's. Can you get a pic? Can the lfs not call the distributor and get a positive id? What kind of price does he have for the 340's?
 
Ok sorry for the confusion lol. So he doesn't have it yet but is pretty sure he will soon. We have been both trying to figure out what the L number is for the brown zebra pleco he will be getting so I can get info/care so I can change the tank where it needs to be changed for him to fit in. He said it is usually 39.99 for the brown zebras.
