I have a 125L which I keep in the garage for emergency, like probs in my current tank. Anyway thinking about bringing into the house and converting it to a marine setup but I really only want a puffer in there fish wise.
What puffer would be suitable for a tank that size?

GSP in marine stage, Leopard TOBY puffers, blue toby puffer, valentini toby puffer, generally all toby puffers!

fahaka's need a 40 g at least.

for a full grown fahaka 120G at the least to keep the fish comfortably, anything less the fish could just be stressed out cause it doesnt feel like it has the space it needs. 40G for maybe the first year will do

i would say a green spotted puffer(leopard puffer) would be a good choice.

nope , these puffers require brakish , then after growing to 4 inches need to be slowly converted to full marine... in full marine they will reach almost a foot long. No one really understands these puffers and the work that goes with them.

problem with tobies/valentinies is if you do want to add fish in the future they are little agressive buggers for their size.

You could really almost do any SMALL puffer , if you plan on upgrading.... they take years to grow big.
