So due to a friend I have been looking into snakes. A big reason is because my friend offered to buy my young cockatiel, and I don't think I'll be able to give a bird as much attention as I'd like when school starts back up. I'm guessing snakes don't NEED attention, same with fish.

I know a lot of people recommend ball pythons and I love all the patterns that are available.

That being said, I would like to get hands on experienced keeper's advice. I have looked a little into them and have been contemplating things.

First off I was thinking about a DIY enclosure consisting of opaque storage tub with holes drilled in for air. A heating pad and a smaller plastic tub with a cut out for a hide. Coconut or newspaper substrate.

What am I missing?

Where is a good place to find some unique color morphs at a reasonable price?

Any info/pics would be great.

Thanks in advance.

By the way. The morphs I'm drawn to are the black and whites, or anything and white. The pieds are pretty. The regular brown patterns are not amazing to me. But I haven't seen everything.

well you might like anerythristics since those are like black, gray, white..
