Thinking about a tropical gar, will this work?

are you aware that CK's can get over 3'?
 
find me a pic or find soeone that has one over 3feet on this fourm. for some reason they get about 25 in the home aquarium. i think someone has a 30" in there pond but thats the biggest ive seen
 
whatever...there is a different section for knives. are you getting an Atractoseus Tropicus? thats what this thread is about right?
 
i think we have given good advice on the tropicus issue, but feel free to ask further questions and we'll try to help out. as for the CK's...there was a 24" fish that just came and left as a trade in to an LFS i frequent here in town this week. they get large...it does take some time, but i would definitely not count on housing one in a 180g for life.--

if it can fit in the gars mouth it will more than likely end up there. how big are your reed fish?
