Thinking about gars...

Well I may have a line on a super cheap 220g (72x30x24) , so I may be picking that up this week. It'll be a few months to a year before I'm able to set it up if I get it though, due to space constraints. It's either that or sell one of my 125g tanks (which I may do).

Anywho, what is a good price range for 8-10 inch Florida gars? There's only one store in town that regularly carries them, and I want to know if they're priced higher than average or not. They're asking $40 for that size. What do you think?

a 6x2.5 will work fine. eventually you will want to go with a 12x5 and triple the amount of gar you own

Well, I've been planning for an 8x4x4 plywood build in the future (or larger, depending on how much space I have at the time). I like that size cuz its nice and easy on plywood cutting. I would start it now, but I don't have anywhere to put it in my current home. I'll have to wait til I move to get this started.

But, I plan on having a nice big tank in the next year or two. And i'm pretty sure there's gonna be a few gar in it
