I've never given mine live. It doesn't like anything I've tried yet besides tilapia filet pieces, though. Mine doesn't hide, either. It likes to face downward w/ its ventral surface on the back glass

I have no idea. The vendor I got them from said he was feeding it blackworms and something else I can't remember for sure...no feeders.

My Juruense shows no interest in anything I throw in there...other than live. I'm still paranoid that he's too small to starve, but I'm hoping it's not going to be too hard.

Ya wasnt it.

I tend to keep live food on hand in case of emergancies, an if im bored the carnage can be fun to watch. nothing like watchs Aros an knives go after Healthy comets.

got mine at 3" never had live before but tears up crawfish
