Tank size is so confusing, I've seen that a 55 could hold one for its life on one site, a different site said a 75, and people on here are saying 100+. I'm sure he'd be fine with a 55 to grow him out.
Where does everyone get their flowerhorns, I've called around every where within my area to see if they have them or could order some and nobody can or has any, I've check Craigslist for breeders. And there's so many online sellers I don't even know where to look
You can go through Aquabid.com or the classified section of this site or other Flowerhorn forums...even ebay if you want. All those ways have worked for me.
Short life span is due to inbreeding by irresponsible breeders not maintaining more than one line of a strain and continuously back crossing to related fish to make more. Hybridization usually does the opposite and fresh blood usually results in hybrid vigor. Just saying.
