thinking about my first reptile

so ive been thinking about getting a reptile, more specific a bearded dragon. Honestly i have personally known anyone who has owned on. My friends have snakes but a 5 foot python isn't my style. I would consider myself a noob to this, and i have been doing a decent amount of reading. I was just looking for tips or any help you guys think would be helpful. set-up, care, etc

I'm also looking into info into pacman frogs...

Off the top of my heat, adults will require a 4x2x2 ft enclosure, as although they are common, Bearded Dragons do grow quite large. Smaller lizard species include leopard geckos, fat tail geckos which might suit you better depending on the amount of space you have.

Pacman frogs can be kept in a 20 gallon aquarium, with a deep cocofibre bedding, a water dish, and some live or fake plants for cover. They're fun to watch hunt, but be aware that they aren't the most active creatures and therefore not the most engaging 'first amphibian'.

Im just gonna throw this out there...I love my bearded dragon but beardie poo is exceptionally foul..oh and crickets are pretty gross and stink too...personality wise theyre great but some days i wish someone had told me about the horrible poo before i got him lol..

Yeah, beardie poo is some of the stankest stuff you can find...

Does not compare to big pythons....they poo like cows, size and all....
 
im glad this turned into a thread about poo....
so whats uromastyx?
if i do a beardie... i was thinking a 20 gallon with a glass lid and 3m the basking light inside, or a screen lid and 3m'ing all the lights inside.... i was gunna do a slate tiles on the bottom...
poo isnt an issue with me, i was looking the hangout personality,

and why not a pacman frog as first amphibian?
