I was thinking to put charcoal as a substrate...would that be fine?

I dont think that would be the best idea.

Why do you think? will it affect my water parameters?I was planning to put a size of a golf ball:confused:

I don't know. Where do you find charcoal in water, in nature? Does it happen? Could well be. Hope it does not leach..

where would you get this charcoal from? I have this feeling that it usually floats unless it is treated with something, the only thing I can think of is those charcole Bisquets and they would be a really bad idea.

Im plannin to use the ordinary charcoal that has no chemicals..Charcoals will sink within 2 weeks or so..I just wanna know the possible problem that im gonna encounter:naughty: gonna put an undergravel filter underneath it:naughty: that will be sucked up by a power pump down to a sump

the water might be filled with black sediments and fine powders
