Got my Solomon Islands Leaf Frog. The guy bringing her up was worried about her since her limbs were sunken and her heart stopped beating. It started beating again last night.

She had a pretty cold trip, but her eyes are responsive, pupils are still present... just waiting for her to move around a bit. Her head is perked up now, so I am guessing that's good. :D

I suck at taking pictures... and the best one that came out is...

Sorry about the bad quality! I TRIED. :(

I don't have a camera with a macro option.

Look up Ceratobatrachus guentheri if you want to see them.

They are sometimes sold as Malaysian instead of Solomon Islands. If you google "Malaysian Leaf Frog" you can see the differences... I have no idea why no one can tell the difference, Malaysians' eyes are forward-facing while Solomon Islands' eyes are set in the back. There's some other differences, but that's the most obvious.

I think I seen them for around $150-$200 each for correctly-labeled ones. However the guy found that one for $60 at a local petstore under "Malaysian Leaf Frog" and snatched her up for me. :D Actually, the guy that picked her up for me was the one that inspired me to do the project in the first place!

As far as fragile, I never heard of "fragile" amphibian... just keep them cool, but not TOO cool.

If I am allowed to make a suggestion. I would treat that frog for the fungus Chytrid before you place he in the tank. Alot of those frogs are coming in with the fungus and it will ultimately kill them in due time. I currently am in the process of treating every WC frog that I have for this fungus. The frogs I am treating did not show any signs of the disease and ate fine. 5 days into their treatment and their appetites have double and their colors are amazingly better.
While doing the treatment I have noticed alot of skin sloughing which is a sign of chytrid. as the days of the treatment pass the sloughing gets less and less and the appetites get better.
If you are interested in treating the frog let me know and i will tell you how to do it. Everything you need you can buy OTC
