Thinking of getting a ARO but..

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Tank is too small for a aro. They will obviously grow much bigger than 24" so he wouldn't even be able to turn around.

So will the gar, so will the bass.....

If you're planning on upgrading to a tank big enough for the potentially 3' long fish you have already then you should be able to keep a silver arowana no problems.

if you have a larger tank then ide say you can put it in the 210 grow out tank

X2 if you already have or have the means of obtaining a 300+ gallon tank with no less than 30" width then go for it. If not, then I wouldn't recommend it.

Regardless of the size of the tank it's not recommended to keep silver arowanas with gar. There are plenty of posts on the subject if you search the forum.

It works for some people; for many it doesn't. If you do it, know that you are taking a risk.

Thanks for the information everyone but I simply asked the compatibility of florida spotteds and silver, not tank requirements but thanks anyway I got the silver and they are all great together.

I think the aro and gar could cohab. I've seen alot of people do this combo.
