would a 90 gallon be good for a black ghost knife fish? also could he be housed with a senegal bicher or 2(jeuvenile)?
haven't got either fish yet, just exploring my options...

sure!

depends, lots of hiding places is sure to help

no, it would not be permanently sutible for a GK, as they reach 20" as an adult. they need something like 150-180Gs minimum.
(or so I have read)

:grinno: they CAN get that size but only rarely in the wild, not in a tank. id say he would max at a foot in a 90.

ok thanks, I think I'll go with 2 senegal bichers and 2 GKs, I'll have to add some more driftwood into my tank but that's not a biggy.
I am getting them as jeuveniles, so if they get too large I can always go bigger later. it's easier to have an excuse to upsize rather than to have to ask the parents. lol

I wouldn't recommend 2 BGK's in the same tank. They do well with either 1, or a whole slew. They give off slight electrical impulses at the front of their heads, as their vision is extremely poor. Running into one another could cause aggressive situations. I've been told this and read of this in a number of places, so I've kept to my one. They are generally peaceful fishes, but can be quite aggressive in the wrong setting. Just wouldn't want you lose one or both.
