thinking of getting a bgk

I'd agreed with wannaarro on this, based on experience. I've bought 2 BGK and I have put them in a 20gallon tank. I put some driftwood, they seem peaceful enough but the next day one of my BGK is dead and the other one has an injured tail.

Bichirs are compatible with BGK. or try the green or gold severum, they are good tankmates, but the problem with severums, same with the BGK they are aggressive with their own kind.

Ya, as dark__knight recommends, I have my BGK in with a Turquoise severum and some corydoras--4 Emeralds, 2 Peppered, and one Arched (and a young rainbow shark, random) in a 55. It's a great combination, took me a while to get the right combo. The sev and ghost square off rarely, but it's a sight to see (both @ 6 inches) like the warriors in Crouching Tiger, mid-"air" with heads raised, but they're just posturing. They get along fine. And be known, a BGK appears to have a small mouth, but it actually opens up quite wide. I lost 2 tetras to mine. Best of. . . . .
